My heart beats for our mission, and I am dedicated to channeling my skills in grant writing to secure the resources we need to make a difference. As a devoted member of New Beginnings Fellowship in Hollister, MO, I find inspiration in our shared commitment to community service and transformative change.

Natalie's Professional Background:Natalie is a Supervising Public Health Adviser with the NYC Department of Health, where she has honed her expertise in public health initiatives and community welfare. With a wealth of experience and a heart dedicated to making a difference, Natalie plays a vital role in our organization.

Her background in public health equips her with the knowledge and skills necessary to drive impactful health-related initiatives. We are delighted to introduce Miss Gertrude Augustin, the dedicated and compassionate Program Director of our Haiti initiatives at Hope for a Village.

A Rich Legacy of Nursing Expertise:With an impressive 21-year career in nursing, Miss Gertrude brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to her role. Her commitment to healthcare and her community has been a guiding light, shaping her into the remarkable nurse and leader she is today.

A Heart Full of Hobbies and Community Spirit:Outside of her professional life, Miss Gertrude finds joy in reading, cooking, and cherishing quality moments with friends. Her hobbies reflect her nurturing and caring nature, which seamlessly aligns with her passion for serving the community.

A History of Service with Hope for a Village:Miss Gertrude's journey with Hope for a Village began as the Charge Nurse, where she served diligently for two years as the primary home health nurse. Her dedication and exceptional care made her the perfect candidate to lead our programs in Haiti.

I am Beatrice Thiersaint, a Clinical Social Worker with a deep-rooted passion for promoting well-being, particularly among those who face adversity, oppression, or poverty. As a native of Cotes-de-Fer, my commitment to serving the community runs in my veins.

With a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) and licensed as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to our cause. My career at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has equipped me with insights into serving diverse populations, including adults, seniors, children, and families. I have spent years working diligently to make a positive impact in the lives of others.

In my role as a Clinical Social Worker Consultant, I am dedicated to providing valuable guidance to Hope for a Village. Together, we will continue our mission to uplift the marginalized, empower the oppressed, and foster a sense of community and belonging.

Veronica Dessources, BSN

I am Veronica Dessources, a Home Health & School Resource Nurse, and I am proud to call Cotes-de-Fer my home. Holding a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from L'Université Adventiste d'Haiti, I have dedicated the past five years of my life to the noble profession of nursing.

My work as a nurse brings me immense joy, especially when it allows me to give back to the community that raised me. It is a privilege to serve those who have contributed to my upbringing and education. Equally, I find fulfillment in training the next generation of healthcare professionals, ensuring that the spirit of service continues to thrive in our community.

With unwavering faith in the goodness of our Creator, I am here to extend healing hands, offer guidance, and nurture the spirit of compassion within Hope for a Village. Together, we can make a profound difference in the lives of our fellow community members.

In my current role as Head of Logistics at Hope for a Village, I find profound joy in serving my community. My expertise in plumbing aligns seamlessly with our mission, enabling us to create sustainable solutions for essential services. As part of the logistics team, I am committed to ensuring the smooth flow of resources and materials, vital for our projects' success.

Zavier is a dedicated high school student and passionate advocate for Hope for a Village. He plays a crucial role in coordinating individual fundraisers with his friends, rallying support to benefit school children in Cotes-de-Fer, Haiti. Zavier’s leadership and commitment to making a difference have been instrumental in organizing events that raise awareness and funds for essential projects, such as providing hygiene kits and improving access to clean water and education. His enthusiasm inspires his peers to get involved, showing that young people can create real change for communities in need.

Ambroise Jackson

I am Ambroise Jackson, and I am honored to call Cotes-de-Fer my home. In my role as a delegate for Hope for a Village, I find deep fulfillment in accompanying our esteemed elders to their monthly doctor's appointments. Additionally, I make frequent, and sometimes daily, visits to their homes, ensuring their well-being and offering companionship.

Being a part of this community and serving in this capacity brings immense joy to my heart. I am grateful for the opportunity to be an instrument of God's love and compassion, making a meaningful impact in the lives of our cherished elders. Together, we can continue to spread kindness, care, and understanding among our community members.

Introducing an invaluable member of the Hope for a Village team. Mrs Joyce Sullivan! 

Joyce is a dedicated volunteer with Hope for a Village. Her passion for sewing and her desire to make a difference have led her to play an essential role in our organization. Here is an overview of our sewing queen:

Passionate Seamstress and Devoted Volunteer who has sewn hundred of bags for program. Each stitch is done with the love of Christ. 

She is a mother, grandmother, and even a great-grandmother. She has always had a love for sewing, but what she is most passionate about is sewing for charitable causes. Joyce has always had a heart for those in need and is always looking for ways to help as much as she can.

Over the years, Joyce has honed her sewing skills, creating a wide variety of items with care and precision. However, what she enjoys most of all is sewing items for charity that aid the less fortunate.

Her sewing work for Hope for a Village is of paramount importance. She dedicates her time and talent to creating hygiene pads and bags for our Grandma Martha Hygiene Kits for Girls project. Her commitment to making a difference in the lives of girls in need is an inspiration to our team.

Joyce is a valuable volunteer, and we are grateful for her dedication to our mission. She embodies the spirit of generosity and helping others that is at the heart of our organization.

Meet Daniel Augustin: Bringing Care and Compassion to Cotes-de-Fer

Hello, I'm Daniel Augustin, a proud native of Cotes-de-Fer. In our community, I wear many hats – I help transport water and food to those in need, and I have the privilege of providing personal grooming services to our male elders. Throughout the week, I assist with daily activities and ensure our beloved elders receive the care and attention they deserve.

One of my passions is giving our male elders a fresh haircut. It might seem like a simple gesture, but it holds great significance. A fresh cut not only enhances their appearance but also uplifts their spirits, making them feel good and special. It’s about more than just grooming; it’s about fostering a sense of dignity and self-worth among our community members.

I also have the honor of teaching boys puberty education and health classes, ensuring that our young boys have the knowledge and support they need as they transition into adolescence.

Every day, I am humbled to be a part of this wonderful organization, Hope for a Village. Serving my community is not just a duty; it's a calling. I firmly believe that by extending our care and compassion, we can make a difference in the lives of those we serve. Together, we are creating a stronger, more connected Cotes-de-Fer, where every individual is valued and respected.
