About us
We are an all volunteer non-profit 501c3 organization driven by faith, compassion, and a deep commitment to making a difference in the lives of the people in Cotes-de-Fer, Haiti since December, 2010.
At Hope for a Village, we are dedicated to improving lives through clean water access, menstrual and hygiene education, school health programs, and home health care. With more support, we can grow and strengthen our impact in the following areas:
With your help, we can do more—and do it better. Together, we’re bringing hope, health, and dignity to those who need it most.

Together, we can empower lives and shape a brighter future for Cotes-de-Fer.
Hope for a Village is committed to caring for the most vulnerable—the elderly and the handicapped—through a range of compassionate services. Our dedicated team, both in Haiti and abroad, works to improve their quality of life by providing:
Every service we offer is rooted in love, dignity, and the belief that no one should be forgotten.
Our dedication to the future lies in our young people. Education is a powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty, as stated in Proverbs 22:6, "Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it." By supporting the education of youth in Cotes-de-Fer, we aim to equip them with the skills and knowledge they need to become self-sufficient and contribute to the growth of their community.
Through our Grandma Martha Hygiene Kits for Girls initiative, we partner with local schools to support students aged 8–14 with more than just academics. Our Comprehensive School Health Program provides essential health and wellness education to both boys and girls, with a focus on:
By combining education with practical support, we help students grow up informed, confident, and ready for the future.
Sustainable Growth Initiatives: To achieve enduring impact, we work alongside local community leaders to pinpoint and support sustainable growth initiatives capable of lifting the community out of extreme poverty. These initiatives span across agriculture, entrepreneurship, and infrastructure development, fostering long-term prosperity and resilience.
We offer essential financial training to local women facing adversity, coupled with microloans for business startups. We stand by their side every step of the way, ensuring their success and fostering their independence. Through this support, they are empowered to contribute to the overall well-being of their families and communities.
Through our Clean Water Initiative, Hope for a Village delivers 10 five-gallon jugs of safe drinking water each week to schools in our program. This simple act helps students stay healthy and focused, reducing waterborne illnesses and supporting a better learning environment.
We work hand in hand with the local water and sanitation agent to assess school needs and ensure long-term solutions. Our partnership allows for regular visits and tailored support for each school.
We believe every child deserves clean water and proper sanitation. By teaching responsibility and care for their environment, we’re building healthier schools—and brighter futures—for the children of Cotes-de-Fer.
